Palang Paneer :
Palang or Spinach is my favorite leafy vegetable. It enhances the taste of the dish to a different level. Now Palang Paneer a delectable vegetarian dish and option to compete with Non-vegetarian dishes. The creamy and silky texture of the gravy is drool-worthy. Spinach has lots of health benefits, whoever doesn't like to eat leafy vegetables it is a good option to feed them spinach in this way. My dinner is sorted with Palang paneer and paratha. Ingredients:
2 cup paneer pieces(Cube pieces)
1 bunch of spinach
1 medium onion chopped
3 garlic chopped
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tomato chopped
1 bay leaf
1 dry red chili
1 tbsp whole garam masala
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
2 tsp turmeric powder
6 green chilies
1 tsp kasuri methi
2 tbsp ghee
Salt for seasoning
Instructions:
1. First, cut the paneer block into small diced pieces. Soak spinach bunch into lukewarm water for 10 minutes. It will help to clean the leaves and accumulate the dirt below.
2. Heat ghee in a wok or frying pan. Add bay leaf, dry red chili, and cumin seeds. let it roast a bit then add whole garam masala.
3. Now add chopped garlic saute a bit and add chopped onion. Fry until translucent. Add roughly chopped palang, chopped tomato, green chilies, coriander seeds, turmeric powder, ginger paste, and salt. Fry until the ghee separates.
4. Now in a blender blend all the fried masala to a smooth paste. Add a cup of water.
5. Transform the paste into the wok again and let it boil. After it starts bubbling add paneer pieces. Let it cook for 10 minutes.
6. After 10 minutes, check the seasoning and add kasuri methi. Delicious Palang Paneer is ready to serve. Serve it with rice items or with flatbreads, the choice is yours.
