Chicken in Walnut Sauce:

Chicken in Walnut Sauce or Satsivi is a Georgian dish. Satsivi is a sauce made out of walnut, green chili, cilantro, lemon, and garlic clove. Add green chili as per your taste. Turkey or chicken is generally made with this Satsivi paste. 
For this dish, boneless chicken is needed, first we need to fry the chicken to be light brown then adding with satsivi paste the chicken curry is made.
This is a unique chicken recipe to devour with flatbread or rice. The walnut gives it a creamy texture, lemon gives a fresh flavor and cilantro play the aromatic role in this dish. Not many spices all the healthy ingredients in one dish.

Ingredients:-

For Satsivi paste                                      
1 cup walnut
1/2 bunch of cilantro
1 tbsp - lemon juice
5/6 green chilies
2/3 cloves of garlic

For chicken curry
1 lb bite-size chicken pieces
1 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken stock
Salt and pepper for seasoning
1 tbsp chopped cilantro for garnishing

Instructions:
1. In a food processor blend all satsivi paste ingredients and make a smooth paste, set aside.
2.Season chicken with salt and pepper.
3. In a wok or frying pan add olive oil, fry chicken in batches until browned in medium heat. Drain in a paper towel.
4. In the same wok add 1 tbsp of olive oil and fry the chopped onion until translucent. Add flour and stir then slowly add chicken stock and let it boil. Reduce heat and add satsivi paste, stir to combine.
5. Add fried chicken in the sauce, and cook in low heat for 30 minutes uncovered until the sauce consistency is very thick.
6. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped cilantro. Serve with steamed rice or flatbread.
