Chocolate Sandesh:

Sandesh is in Bengali's heart. I learn and love, making Sandesh after I start living abroad.
Last week was my 12th wedding anniversary and I planned a lot for this anniversary, though due to the present condition all my plans messed up, so I am upset a bit. My plan is to make Chocolate Cake instead I made Chocolate Sandesh. It is very easy, the process is the same as making Sandesh, only you need to add Cocoa powder in it. Dark cocoa powder is best and I used Hershey's one. It is a good fusion dessert for all chocolate lovers. My son who never likes to eat Sandesh ate Chocolate Sandesh gladly.
Make these fabulous cutie's and let me know in the comment how it came out.

Ingredients:

1 liter of milk
2 tbsp lemon juice/vinegar
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder(Hershey's is the best)
Chopped almonds

Instructions:

1. Boil the milk and make chenna/ Chana. Click the link to see how to make Chana/ Chenna.

2. Now after you drained channa well, place it on a plate add cocoa powder and start mashing it with hands for 5 - 8 minutes. After 8 minutes it will be soft.

3. Add powdered sugar on mashed chana and mix it thoroughly.

4. Heat a nonstick pan or Kadai and place the chana mixture on it. The flame should be always in low. Stir continuously for 5 minutes, the chana mixture will come together by now. Cooking more time will result in a dry mixture which is not preferable for making Sandesh.

5. Transfer it in a plate to let it cool.

6. Then make small balls out of it. If you have a mold for making Sandesh then smear ghee on it and press the mixture to get the imprint. Otherwise, roll out the ball and just press it in the middle. Do the same to all.

7. Place chopped almonds on the top. Bang!! Chocolate Sandesh is ready to go.
